USING VISUAL MATERIALS TO IMPROVE HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS’ FOREIGN LANGUAGE SKILLS

The use of visual materials in language learning has been widely accepted as an effective way to improve students’ foreign language skills. This article aims to explore the benefits of using visual materials in higher education language classrooms and provide evidence-based recommendations for language teachers. The article reviews the literature on the use of visual materials in language learning, discusses the advantages and challenges of using visual materials, and presents practical examples of how visual materials can be incorporated into language teaching practices. The findings suggest that visual materials can enhance students’ motivation, engagement, comprehension, and retention of foreign language content. However, the effectiveness of visual materials depends on their appropriateness, authenticity, relevance, and accessibility. Therefore, language teachers should carefully select and design visual materials that align with their learning objectives and students’ needs..

USING AUTHENTIC MATERIALS IN ELEMENTARY GROUPS

Authentic materials are one of common materials in teaching English. Most of teacher usually use them to be implemented into their classroom. One of the reasons of the teachers they use it in the classroom is in order to give the students example of the real use of English in social life. Other than authentic materials, the teachers also usually use textbook. It is because textbook gives much easier for the teachers to use it in the classroom and also for the students to studied at home. In implementing the authentic materials is not as easy as using textbook. The teachers need to be creative to select and modify the authentic materials to be able to be implemented. It is because the authentic materials are not produced for pedagogical purposes. So, in this study, the objectives of the researcher are to seek about the perception of using authentic materials in the classroom, the reasons of the teachers about the perception, and also the way of the teachers when implementing the authentic materials in the classroom. Regarding the objectives above, the qualitative research is appropriate to be conducted in this study. It is in order to get the deep data from the research subject. To get the data, this study uses interview and observation. By the interview, it gets the answer of all the research questions. And by the observation, it gets the supporting data from the interview.

USING AUTHENTIC MATERIAL AND CREATED MATERIAL FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING. BENEFITS AND LIMITATIONS

This research describes authentic materials and created materials (teacher-made materials) especially their benefits and limitations in English Language Teaching (ELT). This research is library research. The researcher collects data from books and articles published in journals related to authentic material and created material. The analysis shows considerations in English Language Teaching (ELT) are whether to use authentic or created material. Authentic materials refer to manuscripts, photos, videos, and other sources that are not prepared specifically for educational purposes. Meanwhile, created materials refer to textbooks or others specifically developed as teaching materials. In practice, two methods for teachers/lecturers use teaching materials such as adapting and adopting. Any course books or commercial textbooks can be utilized to be adapted as created materials. Authentic materials from a variety of sources that incorporate real language use also can be adopted.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF POLYMER HYBRID MATERIALS

Polymer hybrid materials are a combination of two or more different types of materials, typically polymers and inorganic materials. These hybrid materials exhibit unique physical and chemical properties that are different from those of their individual components. Some of the physical and chemical properties of polymer hybrid materials include improved mechanical properties such as higher strength, toughness, and stiffness compared to pure polymers, improved thermal stability, electrical conductivity, unique optical properties such as transparency, color, and luminescence, improved chemical resistance, biocompatibility, and the ability to exhibit either hydrophilic or hydrophobic properties depending on the nature of the inorganic component used. This article explores polymer hybrid materials to offer a wide range of physical and chemical properties that can be tailored for specific applications.

POLYLACTIC ACID COMPOSITE MATERIALS REINFORCED WITH NATURAL FIBER

As the demand for sustainable and eco-friendly materials grows, there is an increasing interest in developing biodegradable polymers such as polylactic acid (PLA). This article explores the incorporation of natural fibers as reinforcement in PLA composites to enhance their mechanical properties and environmental sustainability. According to the result of the research, this study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on sustainable materials by providing insights into the mechanical properties, processing techniques, and environmental impact of PLA composite materials reinforced with natural fibers. The findings offer a valuable foundation for further research and development in the quest for environmentally conscious alternatives to traditional plastic materials.

Аутентичные материалы являются эффективным инструментом для развития межкультурной коммуникативной компетенции и речи у изучающих иностранные языки. Такие материалы устраняют разрыв между учебным процессом и реальной жизнью, создавая живую атмосферу в классе. Важнейшей особенностью аутентичных материалов является то, что они не подвергаются переработке преподавателями, что дает учащимся возможность освоить естественную языковую среду и настоящий культурный контекст. Эти материалы позволяют учащимся напрямую познакомиться с обычаями и образом жизни носителей изучаемого языка. Также использование аутентичных материалов повышает мотивацию учащихся и помогает им понять культурные особенности носителей языка. В этой статье рассматриваются виды деятельности, направленные на развитие речи учащихся с использованием аутентичных материалов, и приводятся практические примеры.

THE ROLE OF AUTHENTIC MATERIALS IN EFL TEACHING

This paper endeavors to examine the motivational impact derived from the incorporation of authentic materials within English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning environments. It further offers strategic recommendations for educators on how to structure such materials in ways that enhance learners’ comprehension and, consequently, sustain and elevate their motivational levels. In contemporary second language pedagogy, authentic materials have assumed a pivotal role due to their capacity to deliver meaningful linguistic input and expose learners to a diverse array of real-life content. This exposure not only stimulates interest but also fosters intrinsic motivation among students. Authentic materials have nowadays become an important part of second language classes mainly because they provide semantic input to students and enable them to interact with a wide variety of information that allows them not only to find inspiration but also to become motivated learners.

Для получения пористых теплоизоляционных материалов были изучены сырьевые материалы Узбекистана. В результате исследованний для получения пористых керамических материалов (“геополимеров”) были выбраны глинистые минеральные фазы месторождения Чанги Ташкентской области. На основе глауконита и диатомита месторождения Чанги были получены геополимеры с хорошо развитой пористой структурой.

В соответствии с законодательством Республики Таджикистан, профессиональной подготовки ведутся работы по повышению квалификации. Для развития качество образовании и повышение квалификации нам необходимо использовать новые технологии и принципы на основе учебного материала. В статье решаются вопросы модернизации содержания профессионального образования, повышения качества и эффективности образования и конкуренто способной подготовки кадров, разработки учебных программ рассматриваются материалы, основанные на подготовке, образовательной технологии и ее принципах, ее практическом применении. Для совершенствования содержания предметов использовался проектный анализ педагогических методов, используемых в дисциплинах, преподаваемых в высшей школе. На этом фундаменте строятся модернизированные учебные тексты и учебные комплексы. Имеются педагогические, психологические, дидактические и методические основы проектирования учебных материалов, обеспечивающих преподавание учебных дисциплин в высших учебных заведениях. На основе этих основ создана модель проектирования учебных материалов по учебным дисциплинам. Это позволяет учащимся осваивать учебный материал учебных дисциплин в высших учебных заведениях.

IMPLEMENTING LANGUAGE POLICY AND PLANNING THROUGH MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

This article discusses the implementation process of a language policy and planning by drawing attention to materials development step. It is clearly admitted that planning a new language policy is challenging task that really plays a big role in a language development of a certain country. In order to multiply the effectiveness of the LPP projects, organizers are asked to work harder on developing materials for the project that provides the match between goals and results. Usage of course books whether local or international ones is arguable topic in educational atmosphere.
