Abstract:

The vegetative body has a more or less giant amoeba-like appearance. When multiplying, the plasmodium resembles a vessel filled with spores in various forms. Sometimes there may be few or only one spore in this vessel. When the spore germinates, it turns into a uninucleate amoeba-like cell (myxamoeba) or a zoospore (planocyte) with one or two (if the filament is two, one is longer than the other) filaments. In most cases, the filaments quickly disappear and the zoospore divides into a myxamoeba and reproduces.
