Abstract:

This article covers the theoretical and practical foundations of the analysis of symbols in Uzbek literary studies. The classification of symbols, their poetic and semantic functions, traditional and authorial symbols in literary works are analyzed based on examples. Their ideological and aesthetic content is revealed through symbols taken from the works of such creators as Alisher Navoi, Hamid Olimjon, Abdulla Oripov, Erkin Vohidov. The article discusses the areas of study of symbols in modern literary studies and their impact on the reader's thinking.
